  Best Archers in N?es!

Record level participation with more than 1000 archers.

Lausanne - January 27, 2006. The 9th European Indoor Archery Tournament taking place in N?es, France from 27 to 29 of January, 2006 has registered a record in terms of participation with 1019 archers. The popularity of this event has kept growing each year and it has become one of the major archery tournaments gathering the top international archers together with other archers of all levels. An innovation this year with a new event for the young archers which is already a big success with 255 entries (174 in the under 18 category and 81 in the under 15).

Among the participants from over 20 countries in the world are several world champions, including 2005 outdoor world champions Chung Jae-Hun from Korea in the recurve division and Swedish Morgan Lundin in compound. Italy?s Michele Frangilli, 2001 indoor and 2003 outdoor world champion is also present in N?es.

In the women?s category a high level competition is also expected with the participation of the local 2003 world champion B?eng?e Schuh. The two finalists of the 2005 N?es tournament, Lisa Unruh from Germany and Carla Frangilli from Italy, as well as the best Spanish archer Almudena Gallardo will also been fighting for the title in recurve bow. In the compound division the French Val?ie Fabre, C?ile Jousselin, Anne Marie Bloch and Fran?ise Volle, 2005 team world champions, will have to deal with fellow countrywoman Amandine Bouillot (2005 university world champion) and neighbor from Belgium Glady Willems (2003 indoor world champion).
