Archery Demo at the Olympic Museum
Archery entertained the 2006 international conference for Information Technology and Tourism.

Lausanne - January 27, 2006.?Olympian Innovation? was the overall topic of ENTER 2006, an international conference for Information Technology and Tourism that ended at the Olympic Museum last Friday. Archery had the chance to present its sport with a demonstration and a small workshop led by Juan Carlos Holgado, Team Olympic Champion in 1992 for Spain, Nathalie Dielen, member of the Swiss national team and Chantal Steiner from the FITA office. They presented the overall activity of archery and the links it certainly has with tourism. Many archers have discovered their now-beloved sport during a vacation. Moreover, archery and tourism also have some common features, including the use of innovation and information technology in a rapidly changing environment to propose the most attractive activities.During the demo, Mr. Holgado shot some arrows at a hit-miss target and then proposed to the participants to try on their own. Most of the 120 people in the public did not miss this opportunity to enjoy some archery. The presentation went very well and archery will certainly be called again for such events at the Olympic Museum.

The Ecole H?eli?e de Lausanne, one of the world?s leading business schools for tourism, was the main organizer of this year?s ENTER, the 13th annual conference of IFITT, the International Federation for IT and Travel & Tourism.
